This Mother Pig Got Sick. You Won’t Believe What Saved Her Life!

Emma was a sickly, pregnant pig when she arrived at Apricot Lane Farm. Her caretakers were told she’d have about six piglets if she was lucky – but no one was expecting what actually happened.

After an intense labor, Emma gave birth to 17 piglets, 13 of which survived. But after such grueling labor, Emma’s health was in a bad state. She wasn’t eating, she wasn’t producing milk, and things looked grim for her and her babies. Watch what beautiful change it took to get Emma back to full health.

After Emma stopped producing milk, her hungry piglets were doing nothing but put her in additional pain as they tried to feed. So the caretakers had no choice but to remove her piglets from her.

They were now responsible for bottle feeding 13 piglets 3-4 times a day.

Meanwhile, they did manage to bring Emma’s fever down and keep her hydrated. But Emma still wasn’t eating. She wasn’t even trying.

After a few days, the caretakers got the idea to show Emma her piglets again to give her a reason to live – and her maternal instincts immediately turned on seeing her babies. Just like that, Emma found the strength. The sight of her piglets made her eat, made her grow stronger, and helped her regain full health.

Two months later, Emma had taken care of the grown pigs well and let them go off to their own pasture. Her wonderful job of caring for her litter was complete, despite the fact that she almost gave her life to do what needed to be done for her babies.
