Let’s face it: One of the most exciting parts about watching the MTV VMAs is seeing all the fashion. Whether it’s an opulent dress or a hideous garb (the fails are just as good as the wins, amirite?), the Hollywood stars walk the red carpet in some of the most unique outfits we’ve ever seen.

The most recent awards show took place on September 12 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York—and the outfits did not disappoint. One celeb who made a lasting impression? Megan Fox.

The 35-year-old actress sported a super sheer dress that matched the color of her skin and basically looked like she was strutting her stuff completely naked—well, almost naked: She had a bedazzled thong underneath and Jimmy Choo heels on her feet.

The thing is? She looked phenomenal. Sure, she was showing a lot of skin to the whole world, but man, she made it look gorgeous.

The people of Twitter couldn’t agree more.

Megan was accompanied by her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly, who apparently was the inspiration for the outfit. “He was like, ‘You’re gonna be naked tonight,’ and I was like ‘Whatever you say, daddy,'” Megan said to Entertainment tonight. The two started dating in May 2020 after meeting on the set of the thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass.

Many people compared Megan’s dress to the one worn by actor Rose McGowen to the 1998 VMAs. For that one, her underwear was the only thing under it—bare breasts out in the open.

“That was a political statement. Of course, there was no Twitter at the time or Instagram, no way to speak for yourself,” McGowen said of the dress.

No matter what the reason was for Megan’s dress, it sure was a show-stopper!
