We knew her and loved her from “Full House” and “Fuller House.” Of course, every year at Christmastime, we watched her in our favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. We could be talking about Candece Cameron Bure or Jodi Sweeten, but we’re not. We’re talking about Lori Loughlin.

This year, we won’t be seeing the Laughlin in any new Hallmark movies. The network has cut ties with the star, and for good reason. Loughlin is making headlines for something much different than acting.

In case you missed it, celebrity parents including Lori Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are facing prison time for the college admissions scandal that came to light earlier in 2019.

The famous couple has been accused of paying a total of $500,000 to guarantee their two daughters admission to the prestigious University of Southern California (USC). Although the girls had never been on a rowing team, they were somehow admitted to the school on a rowing scholarship. It sounds suspicious because it is. It’s actually a felony.

Besides being charged for fraud and money laundering, the couple is now also being charged with bribery. These are serious charges that could cause the privileged couple to see jail time for decades.

U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling released a statement saying,

Today’s charges are the result of ongoing investigation in the nationwide college admissions case. Our goal from the beginning has been to hold the defendants fully accountable for corrupting the college admissions process through cheating, bribery and fraud.

Loughlin and Mossimo’s daughters aren’t even attending USC anymore, making this whole ordeal the biggest mistake the couple has ever made. Yet, through it all, the couple is still pleading innocent. We shall see how this all plays out.

Do you think Loughlin and Mossimo are guilty? Does this new charge surprise you?
