New Keurig Machine Will Make Bar-Quality Cocktails for You With the Push of a Button

Those of you who love techie gadgets and enjoy a good cocktail or two can now experience both through the newest merger of alcohol and technology. Keurig is bringing you a cocktail maker – with pods.

The company has partnered up with Anheuser-Busch to launch Drinkworks, with its first product being the Drinkworks Home Bar. At the push of a button, you can become a bartender and make up to two dozen different cocktails using their pre-mixed pods. That means each person at your get-together can have the drink of their choice.

Libations include such favorites as the Moscow Mule, Cosmopolitan, White Russian, and Mojito. If those don’t suit your taste, you can also make beer and a hard cider. Luckily, you also have the option of choosing three various sizes which range from 4 ounces up to 8.

Although the drinks are served cold, Drinkworks encourages users to serve them with ice for an authentic bar experience. The machine retails for $299, while the pods are $2.25 for beer and $3.99 for cocktails with multi-pod packs running you about $15 to $16. Not bad for a night of drinking in, huh?

Keurig is hoping to recreate the success of its K-cup coffee machine with alcoholic beverages, but for now, the machine will only be available in St. Louis through pre-order or select retailers. California and Florida will be next, with additional states being added sometime later in 2019.
