Keep Your Ironed Clothes Clean By Keeping Your IRON Clean! Here’s How To Do It
It stands to reason that if your iron isn’t very clean, then the clothes it touches aren’t going to be very clean as well. And, let’s face it, the iron can get messy. With rust and burn stains, do you really want that dirty metal getting anywhere near your nice work clothes? Especially as you’re trying to press them to get out the door for the day? To avoid ruining your clothes with your iron, the easiest thing to do is to keep your iron clean. How, you ask? Very simple! Watch the video below to see the quickest, easiest way to keep your iron (and your ironed clothes) clean.
For this cleaning technique, all you’ll need is a 3/4 cup of white vinegar and a 1/2 cup of salt. Combine the two thoroughly.
Then, take a rag or any washcloth (even a paper towel will do, as long as it’s thick), and soak it in the mixture. Once soaked, use the rag to clean the iron surface – and presto! You’ve got one clean iron.
The vinegar and the salt help dissolve away any stains from burns or rust and leave your iron looking brand spanking new.
Now THAT’S an iron you can gladly use on your clothes.
