Actress Kate Beckinsale posted multiple pictures on Instagram on March 11, 2024, in honor of her mother’s birthday; however, those who scrolled through all of the photos were alarmed to see Beckinsale in a hospital bed.
Beckinsale wrote in the caption of her post, “Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother.” She called her “mother’s capacity for joy” something very “inspiring and beautiful.” She wrote to her mother, “Happy everything mama . Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close .I love you x.”

However, there’s more to it than that. Beckinsale also posted pictures of herself in a hospital bed, but they were hidden six pictures away for those who cared to scroll and find them. In the first picture, Beckinsale has what looks like a huge oversized black bow in her hair. The following picture is a close up of her face.

Beckinsale didn’t mention the hospital in the caption of her post. She didn’t include any context at all about being sick or having a scheduled hospitalization. However, she did thank those close to her for being there during difficult times in life. What she actually wrote was, “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s sh** and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t . And for looking after our dogs when we can’t , and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t . And turn up when we are sick and sit with us . . And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.”
We can infer from this caption that Beckinsale must be in the hospital due to a sickness of some sort, but that is not confirmed. Beckinsale hasn’t confirmed anything about her hospital stay, and that isn’t going over well with her followers. Instead, it’s raising concern.
One of her followers commented, “Are you OK?Why are you in a hospital?Please get Well soon.”
Another comment reads, “No context hospital pics don’t sit well with me.”
Yet another follower wrote, “What on earth are you doing in hospital Kate ?”
