Since their union was first made public sometime around 2005, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt built a family together. Though no longer a couple, the two share six children together: Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 9.
When they first met, Jolie was already a single mom to son 5-year-old Maddox, whom she adopted from Cambodia years before. Over the 12 years that “Brangelina” were together, paparazzi and photogs captured pictures of their growing brood.
In 2005, Jolie adopted her daughter Zahara, who is of Ethiopian heritage. 2006 saw the birth of the couple’s first biological child, Shiloh, who was born in a hospital in Namibia. As more children were joined the clan, 2006 was also the same year that Brad decided to adopt Angelina’s children, and their last names were changed to Jolie-Pitt.
Angelina, an avid supporter of human rights and international humanitarian causes, was no doubt a force in the couple’s choice to adopt their son Pax from Vietnam in 2007. He was only 3 years old at the time, and fans of the pair continued to keep tabs on the young family. With four children and counting, more was in store.
The summer of 2008 saw Brad and Angelina welcoming twins Knox and Vivienne to the world, also their biological children. They officially became a family of 8, with six young, adorable children to raise.
We’ve seen the pics of the kids here and there during the past decade as they hit the town or the red carpet, and they’ve all gotten taller, cuter, and busier. These parents now have their hands full with teenagers and pre-teens!
As a united co-parenting team, Brad and Angela have remained committed to raising their kids out of the Hollywood spotlight, but with a passion for charity. They travel the world to do aid work, work on film projects together, and also enjoy a little down time.
If you haven’t seen the kids together in a long while, check out this video that features a snap of all six kiddos and their mom. They recently hung out at the famous Louvre museum for some quality family (and educational) time in Paris.
Before that visit, Angelia and her two eldest daughters made a trip to Jordan for some philanthropic work, meeting with Syrian refugees. Since the children are older now, we might see more of them when they accompany their famous mother on the red carpet as she attends movie premieres and award shows.
That’s not to say their father Brad Pitt isn’t close by. It’s reported that Angelina bought a house a hop, skip, and jump away from him in Los Angeles so the children could be close.
Perhaps that means that fans of the family will get to see the occasional photo of their handsome dad with the kids? The youngest three look so much like him! As is the norm with celebrities, it’s up to them how much exposure they want for them. But you can’t help but agree that time has flown by with this crew!
What do you think of the Jolie-Pitt brood growing up? Were you aware of their ages now?
