Bob Saget’s friends and family were shocked when he was found unresponsive in his hotel room just hours after performing stand up. His death was unexpected. He was only 65, and he seemed in good health.

Shortly after his death was discovered, some of Saget’s friends visited his widow, Kelly Rizzo, at her home in Los Angeles. Then, this past Friday, friends and family gathered for a private memorial service.

Prior to the memorial service, many friends and family shared touching tributes about Saget on social media. For example, Candace Cameron Bure shared a photo of Saget and wrote about how much she misses him. She started the post, “Oh, Bob. Why’d you have to leave us so soon?”

John Stamos also shared a touching tribute on Instagram. He put together a video tribute in honor of his friend and explained why he believes “Bob did it right.” In the video, Stamos shared some clips and photos of Saget performing and spending time with those he loved.

So far, there is no confirmed cause of death. Authorities have ruled out foul play. They believe Saget died in his sleep, but it may take 10-12 weeks to determine the exact cause of death.
