Jeff Bridges Shares Update About His Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment
On October 19, 2020, actor Jeff Bridges announced to the world via Twitter that he had been diagnosed with Lymphoma. He tweeted, “I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.” He went on to say, “I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.”

Bridges has kept a positive attitude throughout treatment and has kept fans updated on his website. On October 29th, he shared a picture of himself at the hospital and wrote, “I want to thank you all for reaching out during this time, it feels good getting all the well wishes and love! I’ll be sharing more updates on my site.”

On December 14, the actor shared another update, this time showing off his newly shaved head. He wrote, “Here’s the latest:• Feeling good• Shaved my head• Got a puppy – Monty• Had a Birthday – 71, man.”

Now, Bridges has shared especially good news with his fans. On his website, he wrote, “January 6th I go in for a CAT scan to see if my new protocol is shrinking my tumor. Turns out it’s working beautifully. The thing has drastically shrunk. I come home elated with the news.”
We know that cancer treatment is no picnic no matter how much Bridges smiles in his posts, but we also know that a positive attitude is a wonderful thing. We’re sure that the outpouring of love from his fans is helping keep him optimistic about a full recovery, and it certainly seems like his treatment has been successful so far. We’re looking forward to even better news in his next update.
