Listen to J.Lo’s 11-Year-Old Bring Down the House with Gorgeous Alicia Keys Cover

It’s hard to argue that Jennifer Lopez is one of the most iconic performers of well, ever. She’s been singing since the 90s, and has even had a few cameos as an actress in movies as well.

It only makes sense that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree for Lopez’s daughter, 11-year-old Emme Maribel Muñiz. Besides looking like the spitting image of her mama, Emme can sing just like her too.

J.Lo recently shared a clip of Emme singing a few verses of Alicia Keys’ 2003 hit “If I Ain’t Got You” (not an easy song to sing on key), and we’re impressed to say the least. Everyone around her is—but no one is more proud than her mom. In fact, J.Lo thinks Emme’s singing is so amazing that she tells her she should just come on tour with her. And we agree!

Emme’s father is Lopez’s ex-husband, Marc Anthony, who is also a singer. So it only makes sense that this little girl is able to belt out a tune. We’re not blaming genetics, but she’s definitely picked up some talent from her parents! That combined with signing lessons from a vocal coach and it’s no wonder she’s the next, well, J.Lo!

The video Lopez released is called “Ain’t No Weekend Like A J.Lo Weekend,” which shows J.Lo preparing for a performance on NBC’s Today show in honor of her new song “Medicine,” featuring French Montana.

The performance was part of her North American “It’s My Party” tour, which she’s doing in honor of her 50th birthday (side note: she’s 50?!) The video features dancers, streamers, a ride on a fake horse, and three costume changes in seven minutes—and of course, her little mini-me.

Remember, she’s just 11! Imagine what her voice will sound like in a few years if it sounds this amazing now.

This isn’t the first time J.Lo has shown us what Emme can do with her voice. Last year, the proud mom shared a video of Emme singing with a group of girls in a Christmas pageant. She looks insanely happy singing along to “Do you Hear What I Hear?”—and even more like her mother in a moving video than any photo can tell! See for yourself in the video.

Emme’s also got some dance skills as well. We saw that when she performed as an extra in Mom’s music video “Limitless” from the movie Second Act. The video features an “army of women causing a storm of change and [my daughter] the little girl inside all of us fighting,” J Lo said. “She makes me so proud.”

We don’t blame her one bit—we’d be just as proud (and are proud!) of Emme if she was our daughter.

What do you think of Emme’s singing skills? Do you think she measures up to her mom (and dad)? We think we’ll be seeing a lot more of Emme singing as she continues to grow up before our eyes!
