We think that one of the toughest parts of life is having to deal with the loss of loved ones. And though losing a close family member can bring about plenty of anguish, it’s clear that some of the most heart wrenching instances of tragedy come about when a parent buries a child, especially one that he or she never got the opportunity to meet.

And while there’s plenty to be said about the healing that comes after being a mom or dad to a rainbow baby, today we would like to focus on the joyous aftermath of one couple’s experience.

But before we get into the details of this magical tale, let’s first talk about “gender reveal parties”.

If you or a loved one has had a baby recently, then you may be aware of this new trend. This is when one family member or close friend is told about an unborn baby’s gender before the parents even get a chance to find out. This trusted person then finds a creative way to tell the couple if they are having a boy or a girl.

In today’s video, the mom-and-dad-to-be have been blessed with twins, so their gender reveal party is double the fun, mystery, and intrigue! For these parents, though, the party has a whole other meaning.

You see, Derion and Brandon Rubidoux have endured more than a few tragedies over the years. In their quest to get pregnant, the Madison, Alabama residents ended up suffering a slew of heartbreaking losses.

Over just a three-year period, Derion miscarried six separate times. These events led the two to take the route of in vitro fertilization, and, like many instances, the process ended up working—REALLY well. As you already know, the Rubidoux’s were blessed with not one but two babies!

So, one of the Rubidoux’s trusted confidants filled two big boxes, labeled “A” and “B”, with balloons. If they were to have a girl, the box would be filled with pink balloons, while blue balloons would signify a boy.

As the camera starts rolling, the couple approaches the first box, and out comes a slew of balloons. The happy couple immediately high-fives one another and quickly celebrates before moving onto “Box B”.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Derion and Brandon, along with their toddler, open up the second box, and that’s when they REALLY start cheering.

Even though we are all too aware of the fact that these twins can never make up for those six gut-wrenching losses, we couldn’t be happier that they finally found a way to complete that beautiful family of theirs.
