Ina Garten Shares Hilarious Rebuttal To Reese Witherspoon’s 2022 Goals

Every new year, it’s great to set some goals we want to achieve. And that’s just what actress Reese Witherspoon did.

In a recent Instagram video, Witherspoon chatted about her new insight after reading the popular book “Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones” by James Clear. The book discusses how your daily habits can define who you are, so it got her thinking about some new ones she wants to implement this year.

In the caption, she wrote:

“Let’s talk about habits! Are there any that have improved your daily life? Here are some I’m working towards:

1. Start the day with a big glass of water. 2. Get 10 mins of outdoor light. @Hubermanlab recommends morning light. 3. Spend 30 — 60 mins reading without distraction everyday. 4. In bed by 10pm. *no late night TV binges. Try to get 8 hours of rest!”

That all sounds well and good, sure. But it can also be a lot for some people—including Barefoot Contessa’s Ina Garten. When she saw Witherspoon’s goals, she immediately thought they needed to be a bit more realistic. So, she responded with her own—very different!—set of goals.

“(T)hat sounds great but I’m probably not doing any of those things! LOL!!” responded in the comments to the post. “My formula is easier to follow.”

She then proceeded to give four hilarious (and of course, realistic) goals that she plans to follow for the new year. And followers were there for it. They went crazy!

“THIS IS WHY YOU’RE OUR QUEEN,” someone wrote.

“Please may we switch lives for one week?” someone asked.

“THIS LITERALLY MADE MY WHOLE YEAR,” another responded.

“You got me cheering,” another said. “Thank you for giving this post the answer it deserves.”

Don’t worry, it seems like the two are friends and Garten was just teasing her. Back in November, Garten posted a video of Witherspoon talking about Garten’s turkey recipe for Thanksgiving and how her kids wouldn’t eat any salad for the holiday. “(L)ove this @reesewitherspoon !! LOL!! Nobody wants salad for Thanksgiving!!” she wrote.
