Thanksgiving is officially over, and though we might still be eating our Turkey Day leftovers, the holiday Christmas season has officially begun! This means Christmas tree shopping, Black Friday shopping, Cyber Monday shopping, and, one very important activity that has NOTHING to do with shopping–holiday light displays viewing–have commenced!

Ever since we were young kiddos, we’ve been absolutely mesmerized by light displays of all themes and sizes. Even a meager string of colorful lights strung above a garage door warms our hearts. That said, we DO have a pretty serious fascination with opulent light displays, the sparklier and more brightly-lit, the better.

So, when we heard that a new light display, which just so happens to hold the title of “The Country’s Largest Animated Holiday Light Show,” was premiering, we knew we had to learn more!

The light show, which is called World of Illumination: Symphony of Light is unique in a number of special ways. For starters, the light show is actually of the drive-thru variety–except, it’s nothing like your average fast food drive-thru experience! Instead, each car that rides within the magical, 1.7 million lights-filled route is blessed with vivid visions of holiday splendor against a gorgeous musical soundtrack featuring everyone’s favorite holiday hits!

To sweeten the deal, North Phoenix ticketholders are also able to access the Holiday Boulevard, a Christmas wonderland that includes a plethora of festive activities and fare, including yummy food, like mac-n-cheeseburgers and waffles, arts and crafts stations, airbrush tattoos and face painting stations, a game zone, a glow shop, a holiday-themed obstacle course, and even an encounter with Santa!

Does this sound like every kiddo (and parent’s) dream? We think so!

So, how do you get to see the World of Illumination: Symphony of Light for yourself? The animated holiday light show has two locations, one in Tempe, Arizona and one in North Phoenix, Arizona. The drive-thru extravaganza offers an online ticket-buying process that, believe it or not, is just as affordable as it is convenient.

According to the event’s website, online tickets for the Tempe location start at just $29 per car and $59 per bus or limo. All you need to do is select a date and preferred time slot before printing your ticket at home. With all of the price-gouging that goes on during the holiday season, it’s good to hear that at least someone is making festivities semi-reasonable!

How awesome does this animated holiday light show sound? We’re thinking we might just have to take a flight to Arizona to see this record-breaking display for ourselves!
