Pizza. It’s such a common food nowadays. With pizza delivery services pretty much everywhere you look, it’s really, really easy to get your hands on one too. Of course, we also have our favorite go-to recipes and easy twists on the classic food.

While the country may be split on whether New York style pizza or Chicago-style pizza reigns supreme, we have to wonder, do they enjoy eating pizza across the pond as much as we do in the States?

Kate Middleton was recently spending time with some schoolchildren, as you do when you’re a princess. The day’s activity involved making pizza.

One curious little girl named Nadirah asked Kate a question that she certainly was not expecting. “Has the Queen ever eaten pizza?”

Considering Kate has known the Queen for years, you would think this question would be easy for her to answer.

Kate responded, “That’s such a good question, I don’t know. Maybe next time I see her shall I ask?”

We wonder if Kate really will ask the Queen about her feelings on pizza, and if she does, will she tell us the answer somehow? In the meantime, we can take our best guess.

If Kate has no memory of ever seeing the Queen eat pizza or hearing the Queen talk about eating pizza, it’s probably safe to assume that the Queen has never eaten pizza. Darren McGrady, former Buckingham Palace chef, agrees. He says that in the eleven years that he was a chef for the Queen, never once did he serve her pizza.

While we can probably rule out pizza from the Queen’s diet, we do know that she’s a fan of dark chocolate. According to McGrady, she loves dark chocolate but hates garlic.

It would be hard to like pizza if you don’t like garlic.

Kate apparently enjoys pizza though. She shared that she prefers bacon on her pizza instead of pepperoni.

Harry and William are pizza fans too. According to McGrady, most of his experience making pizza was when he prepared it for the princes. He thinks they would’ve eaten it every day if the Queen had let them.
