How to Make a Lunch Container Out of a Milk Jug
Need some reusable containers to pack your kids’ lunch items in during the school year? Family Fun says to kiss those flimsy plastic Ziplock bags goodbye and instead repurpose items you’d otherwise throw away or recycle. In just a few minutes, you can easily create a sandwich box out of a milk jug or a snack box out of a juice or milk carton.
Here’s what you’ll need to make a sandwich box:
- 1-gallon milk jug
- Marker
- Scissors
- Thumbtack
- Adhesive-backed Velcro dot
And here’s what you’d need for the snack box:
- Juice or milk carton, in any size, from a half-pint to a quart
- Scissors
- Adhesive-backed Velcro dot
