How to Cure Common Ailments with Ginger
Ginger has been used to treat many common ailments for centuries by people all around the world. You can get ginger root from the grocery store very easily and use it to treat a plethora of maladies. It seems to pop up a lot in tips and comments sections as a remedy/pantry staple, but we’ve never had a tip page completely devoted to ginger. So here it is! Here are a few ways to use it:
- Treatment of Nausea and Motion Sickness: ginger root can relax and sooth stomach wall muscles and give relief from nausea. Just chew 1/4 ounce of fresh ginger root pieces as prevention for motion sickness and the treatment of nausea and/or vomiting.
- Arthritic Pain: ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce swelling, redness, pain and joint stiffness. You can drink ginger tea and/or try to use ginger in your everyday meals.
- Menstrual Cramp Relief: ginger can help relieve muscle spasms by soothing muscular walls. Try drinking ginger tea or grounding a teaspoon of ginger and swallowing it, followed by a glass of normal drinking water.
