Hostess Has Just Released Cereals That Taste Like Their Iconic Desserts
Before you even read the news we’re about to share, all you Hostess treats lovers should know you will want to yell out a “Hell Yeah!” in just a moment. If you’re at work reading this, do what you’ve gotta do to prepare.
Hostess, bestower of marvelous sweets for over a century and creator of the iconic Twinkie, has joined the cereal business, folks. In a partnership with Post Brands, the company is releasing a cereal for two of its famous snacks: Donettes and Honey Buns.
Yes, those finger lickin’ good powdered donuts have been turned into crunchy miniature versions of themselves – complete with powdered sugar. Early reviews say that they taste pretty authentic and that kids will be running to the kitchen to gobble some up.
As for the Honey Bun, I have seen fights break out between strangers over who gets the last one, so if the stores sell out of the cereal, don’t be surprised. Just look at the tiny, shrunken Honey Buns and picture how many you can fit into a dish at one time. Can you taste the cinnamon?
Some stores may be carrying the cereals this December, but if not, you will only have to wait until January 2019 to dip your spoons into bowls of these desserts-for-breakfast. Nobody will judge you if you don’t even use milk.
At this time, there is no word on whether the world will be gifted with Twinkies or Ding Dongs in cereal form, but we can certainly wish. In the meantime, bon appétit and feel free to turn these cereals back into desserts!
Are you ready to dig into one of these snack cereals come true? Which one are you looking forward to tasting? Which Hostess snack is your favorite?
