Ah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. These two lovebirds sure have managed to captivate the entire world in the less than 2 years that they have been ‘officially’ on the public’s radar. Ever since their definitive dating and engagement announcement, the pair has graced fans with an opulent royal wedding, tabloid fodder galore, and, most importantly, a bun in the oven who will, undoubtedly, be just as gorgeous as the Duke and Duchess themselves.

And, speaking of “bun in the oven,” it seems that Meghan has taken all of the steps necessary to ensure that the little prince or princess will be born as healthy as can be. This includes cutting out anything that is known to be harmful to growing babe, namely alcohol and caffeine.

Anyone who is even vaguely aware of the Duchess’ habits knows that the former actress is a health nut to the extreme. She subscribes to a mostly plant-based diet and is known to prioritize exercise–not shocking considering her own mother is a yoga instructor! That said, it wasn’t until recently that we learned that her healthy habits have also rubbed off on her prince husband.

According to a report published in Express, Prince Harry has kicked both booze AND caffeine to the curb, to both focus on his health and as an act of solidarity for his pregnant wife.

This revelation is particularly notable for long-time fans of the royal. You see, for years, Prince Harry was known to be a hard-partying guy, something that, reportedly got him in trouble with his very famous family from time to time. A source tells the publication that his adoption of a healthy lifestyle has come as quite a shock to those who know him best.

“Considering he’s been a pretty brutal drinker since he was a young teenager, it’s quite an achievement,” the source said. “He was always fidgeting and on the go, always looking for the next thrill. He was a great laugh but it was always very full on.” 

Now that Harry is off the booze and caffeine, though, the source says that they’ve noticed a great improvement in the royal’s well-being–even if he’s not as fun as he used to be. “Now his new regime doesn’t make him the most entertaining party guest in the world, but he’s definitely more chilled and relaxed,” the source added. 

From what we know, the Prince is abstaining from alcohol and caffeine just until his wife gives birth, but something tells us he will continue leading a healthy lifestyle long into the future. You go, Prince Harry!
