Gerber Is Looking for Its Next Spokesbaby in an Epic Instagram Photo Search
But, is your baby Gerber baby cute? There’s one way to find out.
If you happen to have a little one under the age of 4, he or she has a chance of being the next Gerber baby. No joke.
The original Gerber baby contest was back in 1928, but Gerber started up an annual contest in 2010.
How do you enter? Instagram! All you have to do is post your child’s picture with the hashtag #GerberPhotoSearch2018 sometime between October 1st and midnight Eastern Time on October 20th, 2018.
Anyone who is a resident of the United States including Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico may enter. The entry needs to be submitted by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old, and the Instagram account the photo is posted in must be “public” so that Gerber can access the photo entry.
By the way, you can enter your child more than once. You can actually enter up to 10 photos, but the photos must have been taken within 30 days of October 1st.
There are a lot of details about what can and can not be included in the photos, so we suggest reading through Gerber’s official rules before you enter your little one.
The first round of judging will take place between October 21st and November 30th, 2018. Judges will narrow down the entries to 100 cute babies who will continue on to the second round of judging. We’re glad we’re not judging this contest because with all the cute babies already entered, narrowing it down to 100 will be quite a task!
The judges for the second and final round of the spokesbaby contest may include previous spokesbabies such as Lucas Warren, who made history by becoming Gerber’s first spokesbaby with Down Syndrome. He was just 18-months old when he won the contest.
The second round of judging will take place in December 2018, and the winner will be notified via Instagram direct message.
Besides the title “Gerber Baby,” what do you win?
The grand prize winner will receive a check for $50,000 which can (but doesn’t have to) be used towards the child’s education.
Good luck, everyone! Do you think you have the next Gerber baby? Are you going to enter this contest? Let us know if you win!
