Imagine this: You are on a Hollywood vacation of a lifetime with your spouse, when none other than the reigning queen of daytime talk calls the two of you to the stage for an intimate chat in front of millions. We don’t know about you, but if this happened to us, we’d be breathless—a reaction that isn’t far off from what happened to one lucky couple…

Meet Kelly and Reggie Gibson; these two adorable folks aren’t just your run-of-the-mill audience members. On top of working super demanding jobs (they are both therapists to the developmentally disabled), the Dayton residents have quite the challenging home life.

You see, the dynamic duo is mother and father to four kids, an 11-year-old—and 3-year old triplets. Yep, you heard us right. It’s safe to say that these two must have a lot of patience between them to raise three 3-year-olds at the same time!

After some brief back-and-forth, Ellen reveals her reason for inviting this husband and wife onstage in the first place. As it turns out, Kelly had written a letter prior to their visit, telling the host how much her show means to her family.

Included in the sweet note was some background on the ins-and-outs of her family life as well as a bit of perspective on how she likes to interpret the arrival of her three youngest. She wrote:

When we learned we were having triplets, we laughed because we knew we were meant for the job. My husband is the hardest worker I know. We choose to be happy through the struggles and our four children are a reflection of our happiness.

Talk about a positive outlook!

How Ellen gave back to the Gibsons

If you are a longtime Ellen fan, you must have a sneaking suspicion as to why the host brought these two up for an interview in the first place. It’s not necessarily something she does ALL the time, but when she does, she tends to be very generous.

The funny thing about watching the interview is that Kelly and Reggie must have the same idea because they both seem to be on the verge of hyperventilating the entire time—they’ve watched enough of her show to know that something great is about to happen!
