Charlie Franks bought Nita the elephant when she was a baby, raising and training her, and forming a deep bond. Together the two traveled the world entertaining millions, appearing with such classic-era film and television stars as Lucille Ball and Eve Arden. When Charlie retired in the 1970’s, he made sure Nita would have a good life by donating her to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Fifteen years later, the two were reunited, and what happened at that reunion was incredible and heartwarming. Like Charlie and Nita, this video from Latest World Incidents is an oldie-but-goodie.
