Drone Captures Stunning Fall Foliage in Northern Utah

Even if you’re not a fan of cooler weather this season, it’s hard to resist the beautiful shades of autumn. If you live someplace where the leaves haven’t quite turned yet, you’ll appreciate the amazing sights in this video.

Facebook user Justin McFarland captured stunning footage of colorful foliage in Utah, and he did it all with a drone! Mixed in with the lush evergreens are rich hues of pink, purple, red, and gold.

McFarland caught the images while at the Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville and posted the shots on Facebook. In an interview with Fox 13, he said that he used DJI Phantom 4 drone with a polarized filter when shooting the video. He added:

“We just had some big rainstorms up here that might have knocked some of the leaves off, but there are a few colors still up there.”

Each year, Smokymountains.com releases their fall foliage guide to let us know when and where colors have peaked. Utah is almost at full peak, but by mid to late October the rest of the country will also be in full autumn bloom.

Every state, country, or province has its own unique fall blends to offer, but for now you can enjoy looking at these gorgeous colors of Utah. If you too are in an area where these sights are in full swing, do share!

Does this video make you say, “Woooow”? Have the leaves begun to turn where you live? What colors are you used to seeing or not used to seeing?
