Every once in a while, we come across a video that’s so dang cute, we can’t help but share it with you right away! Sometimes it has to do with adorable babies making us laugh, sometimes it has to do with an odd reaction from a little girl meeting Snow White at the Happiest Place on Earth, and other times, it’s just a gorilla walking around like a human. (That last one might sound ridiculous, but we promise, it has to be seen to be believed!)

Now, all of those viral video examples may sound like they’re well-worth watching–and they most definitely are!– but the one we are going to show you today is one that combines two of our favorite things ever: golden retrievers and long-awaited reunions. Yep, this is one that seems like it was designed to make you laugh, cry, and go “awww” all at the same time!

The clip kicks off with a flashback, of sorts, where we meet the two stars– a golden retriever mommy and one of her puppies. It goes without saying that the two are just adorable; the little one ambles around on her little puppy legs while her proud momma looks on protectively.

Later on, we are transported back to present-day where we get to see the puppy, who her new owners named Harper; she is still a puppy, but now a whopping 3 months older than when we last saw her. She’s still bursting at the seams with all of that contagious energy and is now much more swift on her feet.

We learn that the puppy is getting ready to be reunited with her beloved mom for the first time since she was adopted. Of course, the puppy doesn’t know this and the mom doesn’t either, but something tells us that they can both sense that something amazing is going to happen.

The next shot that we see is Harper barreling out of the car, running to another, full-grown doggy. Can you guess who this other golden retriever is?

Yep, it’s her long-lost momma who she hasn’t seen for a heart-wrenching 3 months! The last time the two got to spend some quality time together, Harper was just an 11-week-old pup, but that doesn’t mean that the duo had forgotten about each other. Quite the opposite– when they greet, it looks like no time has passed at all! How sweet is that?
