VIDEO: Dog Enters A Lake, And What It Pulls Out Of There Has Gone Viral
Here at TipHero, we are committing to bringing you the latest in amazing animals being, well–AMAZING! Over the years, we have provided you with a cache of videos featuring fur babies and wild beasts alike, showing off their incredibly sharp senses, hilarious personalities, and, our favorite of all, adorable faces.
Yep, we’re pretty obsessed with all animals, but the one that, we think, makes for the best videos is none other than ‘man’s best friend’: the dog. We’re also not too proud to admit that our favorite types are the ones that are as quirky as you can get, like these orphaned pups who were deemed “too friendly” to be police dogs. There’s something so sweet about knowing that a dog couldn’t make the cut because they like cuddling more than fighting crime!
But, canine police academy drop-outs aside, we have recently managed to come across, what we like to refer to as a “unicorn dog,” a dog that is fierce, quirky, talented and cute. The special pup is named Rani and, believe it or not, we *think* she might be half-pelican.
In a video posted by her owner that has gone viral, Rani is shown quietly standing in a pond filled to the brim with swimming catfish. At first, it’s hard to tell what the Golden Retriever is doing; perhaps she has gone for a swim and is stunned to find these aquatic beasts sloshing alongside her. Or, maybe, she thinks they’re cute and simply wants to bring one home so that she can be part of the strangest unusual animal friendship ever.
As it turns out, neither one of those scenarios turns out to be true because it quickly becomes clear that she has entered the catfish-infested pond to CATCH one. Around the 24-second mark, a curious catfish approaches Rani, with its mouth ajar. It sort of looks like the fish is coming up to give the dog a little smooch, but, unsurprisingly, Rani uses that as an opportunity to go berserk on the fishy.
Rani’s owner, Patty Aguire, caught this jaw-dropping event on video while enjoying a day out with Rani in Saltillo, Mississippi. According to the Daily Mail, Aguirre has been uploading videos of her dynamic doggy being the amazing fisherwoman that she is for a while now, but none have gotten as much attention as this clip.
Now, for the typical dog owner, this clip may come off as sort of brutal, especially considering Golden Retrievers are often hailed as being the “ultimate family dog.” That said, we mustn’t forget that Golden Retrievers were originally bred for hunting and retrieving. Rani certainly lives up to her breed’s name!
To see this magnificent Golden Retriever fish a massive catfish right out of a pond, be sure to watch the video below. It’s like the most adorable nature documentary ever!
We’d love to hear your thoughts on Rani the Golden Retriever. Are you surprised that a dog could do this? Do you have a dog that likes to fish? If so, what is the biggest fish that it has ever caught?
