Dad Posts Honest Review Of His Baby Daughter’s ‘Restaurant’ and It Goes Viral

While we always think that it’s important to support local businesses, during the coronavirus pandemic, that is true more than ever before. Some businesses have struggled and even had to close their doors permanently, and we’re not just talking about mom and pop type businesses.

Imagine opening a new business during the pandemic. It would be difficult, wouldn’t it? You would definitely want some good Yelp reviews to help you grow your customer base.

One dad visited his daughter’s new restaurant that she just opened in April, and while he praised some aspects of the restaurant, like the cleanliness, he had a few negative things to say, like how slow the service was. She owner actually stopped working to watch “Paw Patrol.”

You would hope that a dad visiting a daughter’s restaurant would want to help her out with a glowing positive review, but in this case, it’s okay. You see, the daughter is a baby girl, and the restaurant is a table next to her play kitchen.

So I tried to support another Black Owned Business for lunch today. It’s called Ava’s Kitchen, just opened end of April. It’s a very clean establishment, but whewww let me tell you about this owner. First off, I asked why there are balloons on my chair, and it’s not my birthday? She talm’bout, mind yah business; those are Mommy’s. I been waiting on my order to get done for 45 minutes, and I’m the only customer here. She was making good progress at first, then she stopped for 20 minutes to go watch Paw Patrol. Overall the customer service could be better, but the cook is a cutie; so I’ll give her another chance. Let’s not give up on Black businesses so fast after one mistake. 💕

Chris Kyle’s humorous post has definitely brought a lot of joy and laughter to his followers. One person commented, “Awww, this is sooo cute. Yes, give her another try, perhaps you should make your reservation before or after Paw Patrol (check your local listings).”

Another comment reads, “This is the first thing that has made me smile in days.”

Kyle told Bored Panda that “As a full-time entrepreneur, I work from home which allows me to be hands-on with my baby girl daily.”
