Randy Gonzalez and his son Brice Gonzalez became viral TikTok stars known as the Enkyboys. In their videos, the father and son duo would lip sync in hilarious performances. Then, life got even more exciting when 6-year-old Brice was cast on George Lopez’s sitcom on NBC “Lopez vs Lopez.”
Unfortunately, Randy received a diagnoses that would cause him to die an early death. In April 2022, six months after receiving his diagnosis, he finally decided to tell his fans what was going on. He had been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. He was given 2-3 years to live, and with chemotherapy, he had a chance of living 5 years.
Randy continued to post on social media, promoting his son’s sitcom, sharing more lip sync videos, and spreading the word about colon cancer, hoping to convince more people to get checked early.
Less than a year after announcing that he colon cancer, Randy has died. The chemotherapy did not work. He was only 35 years old. Meanwhile, 90% of colon cancer cases occur in people over the age of 50.
Brice announced the news of his death on social media, writing, “My dad fought a long battle with cancer and is finally at peace with our Lord.” The post continued, “I would Like to thank everyone for your kind words & condolences. It really means a lot.”
The announcement also included a heartfelt message to Randy. Brice told his dad, “I wish I could hug you & give you a kiss one more time dad but I know you will be watching over me, mom and the girls. Until I see you again dad. I promise to make you proud. I love you.”

Upon hearing the news of Randy’s death, Lopez also posted on social media, sharing a picture of Randy and Brice. He wrote, “The love and the bond Randy had for his son and his family was undeniable, you can see it in every video. He will be missed, but never forgotten. My heart goes out to the entire family.”
