How to Make a Deliciously Creamy One-Pot Pasta in 20 Minutes
Everyone loves pasta and everyone hates dishes. This recipe takes one pot and makes a deliciously creamy pasta to please the whole family, or just one with plenty of leftovers for the work week! Not only does this dish require hardly any dishes, but it comes together in about 20 minutes. If you’re looking for a fantastic light dinner, eat this as is. If you want it to be a little heartier, add meatballs or grilled chicken chicken breast into the pot, and stir to coat everything in the rich sauce.
Creamy One-Pot Pasta
small bunch basil, plus more to garnish
3 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1 shallot, chopped
1 lb linguine or fettuccine
2 cups of your favorite red pasta sauce
3 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan, to garnish, optional
- Throw the basil, chicken broth, water, and chopped shallot into a large pot on medium high heat and bring to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook, stirring occasionally until the pasta is completely cooked and the liquid is almost completely absorbed, about 15 minutes.
- Add the pasta sauce and cream cheese, stir until the cheese has melted completely and blended with the sauce.
- Serve topped with sliced fresh basil and fresh grated parmesan.
