These homemade, dip-dyed flowers are beautiful and incredibly easy to make. They’re the perfect craft to make with the kids , your students, or a group of you craftiest friends!

You can create these flowers in any variety of colors — any that you can buy or blend to make with food dye, of course. This season obviously calls for pastels like pink, blue, green, and yellow, but you can make them in any colors you or your family prefers.

Here’s what you’ll need to make these beautiful DIY flowers:

• Coffee filters
• Food coloring
• Paper cups
• Shallow dish
• Warm water
• Scissors
• Hot glue gun
• Drying rack
• Baking sheet

The best solution to make your dye is one cup of warm water and about 10 drops of dye in the color of your choice. Make sure to stack the coffee filters; each flower takes about 10 filters due to the fragile nature of the paper. To dry, put the filters upside on your drying rack, which should be over your baking sheet; make sure to splay them out naturally so they have a more floral appearance.

Our end result? A gorgeous ombre-effect where the colors kind of fade from a darker shade to a lighter hue. We especially love the idea of using a few different colors to create one flower; one beautiful Easter color is already so pretty, but combining a few shades give this DIY amazing dimension.
