Don’t Forget Your Coat Closet During Spring Cleaning! Make It Easy With These Tricks
There is no part of my home more notoriously messy than the front closet. It’s a mess of shoes, jackets, scarves, gloves, umbrellas and a weird assortment of other things that have no home. Every time I open it up I immediately remind myself to clean it out…and then I conveniently forget two minutes later. No more. This spring cleaning season I’m getting my front closet organized! And I’m going to do it with these helpful hints from Clean My Space! If your front closet also needs a cleaning, check out the video below.
Step 1: Remove everything (that means EVERYTHING) from the closet.
Step 2: Vacuum out the whole closet, including shelves and corners. Clean the track of your sliding door (if you have one) with all purpose cleaner. Even wipe down the outside doors.
Step 3: Take your winter gear and store it away! She uses vacuum bags, which I love to use, too. This is a great time to decide what pieces of clothing needs to be donated.
Step 4: Use buckets to store hats and spring scarves. A wire shoe holder will help organize what’s on the floor (mainly shoes).
Step 5: Hang some easy hooks in your closet to hang jackets and purses from.
