The first step to spotless hardwood floors is figuring out what finish your hardwood has. And trust me, there’s a million different types of finishes. To test yours quickly, take a little bit of water and drop it on a small spot of your hardwood. If the water beads, there’s a finish. If the water gets absorbed into the floor, you have unfinished hardwood.
