Chipotle Becomes First Major Fast Food Chain to Go GMO-Free
As of this week, Chipotle Mexican Grill has gone GMO-free. That means that their 46 ingredients used in about 1,800 restaurants will now be completely free of genetically modified organisms, making it the first major US chain to make this kind of switch. While many other countries have already banned or restricted the use of GMO crops, the true effects of GMO consumption aren’t known yet. There is still a lot of research to be done. However, organic foods do not contain GMOs, and many Americans (looking for more organic options) are bound to be excited by this news:
What are your thoughts? Does this affect your opinion of Chipotle?
