BYO Wine to Restaurants??
I don’t know if I would ever have the nerve to do this, but I heard that you can bring your own bottle of wine to a restaurant. Apparently, many restaurants simply charge a ‘corking fee’ of $10-15 for opening the bottle and providing glasses. But since most restaurants mark their wine bottle prices up to 100% of the wholesale price, you will see significant savings even with the fee.
Curious if anyone has ever done this?
