Best 3-Ingredient DIY Cleaner for Your Granite Countertops
Granite countertops can be a dream in the kitchen. They look beautiful, rarely look dirty, and just add so much sophistication to any kitchen. However, when it comes to cleaning them, you can’t just use any old cleaner. Did you know that cleaners containing citrus or vinegar can actually damage your expensive granite countertops? Glass cleaners like Windex are also a bad idea as they can strip the “seal” off of the stone. Also stay away from abrasive sponges that can damage the surface of your granite.
For a great granite disinfecting cleaner try out the following homemade recipe:
– 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol (will disinfect and also give a streak-free shine)
– 3 drops of dish soap (for gentle cleaning power)
– 1/4 cup of Water
Totally optional but you can also add 5-10 drops of essential oil to give it a nice smell.
All you have to do is grab an empty spray bottle. Add your ingredients, then fill the rest of the bottle up with water. Shake it up, then use it (along with paper towels or a cleaning cloth) to clean your countertops. you can use this to clean your other kitchen appliances as well!
