Baking Soda the Wonder Cleaner

I use baking soda for many things to clean with and have luck with it’s use.

One thing I do is when my old baking soda comes out of the freezer or fridge, I use on the drains, but I also put on the laundry shelf.

If you have clothing that is smelly or dingy,(like the whites, you do not like to use bleach,(we all know some fabrics cannot take the abuse from bleach) add a cup or less depending on the size of the load being washed.) Sometimes I make a paste with water and smear onto the fabric that is stained. It does a good job if you do it at the time the clothing was hit with the stain.

I also use on the carpets, just sprinkle and allow to sit for 15 minutes or so. This will help with odors, releases pet hairs, and human hair as well.

One other thing that helps with the baking soda, if you have a dish that baked or burned the food to the sides or bottom use some baking soda paste to rub on the dish, and let sit for 30 minutes then wash in regular soap. If this does not help, try using a reasonable amount of vinegar. Put in the dish to cover the bottom where most of the scorching usually is,allow to sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then wash.

Both of these products work well, and they also (even though are diluted by the wash water) still help clean the drain from smelling.
