He Wraps Onion Rings With Bacon. Watch What He Does Next.

When it comes to fried foods, it doesn’t get any better than onion rings— or so we thought. Then we saw this video from David Hughes that takes the snack-time classic and totally takes it to another level by using BACON instead of batter. It’s easier than it sounds, and totally delicious. Just look!

You’ll Need

– Bacon, thinly sliced
– 1 onion

How To

  1. Slice the onion into rings and cut each piece of bacon into 2 pieces.
  2. Wrap the first piece of bacon tightly around an onion ring. Repeat with the second piece until the onion is fully covered.
  3. Repeat with all the onion rings.
  4. Cook in a smoker or on a grill until the bacon is crispy, about 30 minutes. In the video, they use a smoker set at approximately 285 degrees Fahrenheit.

That’s it! How crazy good do these guys look? Do you think you’ll give them a try? If you do, will you eat them on a burger or on their own?
