A great teacher can be a kiddo’s very first hero. They are the ones who instill knowledge into the next generations and (hopefully!) do so in a way that empowers students. Unfortunately, though, not every teacher does the best job at empowering–in fact, you probably remember some of those very “bad teachers” back from your school days. You know, the ones who, you swore, were only there to belittle their students and make lives miserable.

Well, perhaps unsurprisingly, those teachers didn’t disappear once you walked out of your high school’s doors for the last time. Sadly, we hear about bad teachers almost every day. The latest, an assistant principal and athletic director at Soddy-Daisy High School near Chattanooga, Tennessee, is the current one to be facing public scrutiny. This comes after a video of the administrator is featured in a video, demeaning female students.

The “bad teacher” in question, Jared Hensley, can be seen exhibiting sexist behavior in the video. In the clip, which was originally sent out to the student body, Hensley blames the school adding male athletic shorts to the dress code on the entire female student body because, according to him, girls “pretty much ruin everything.”

Hensley did not elaborate as to how girls “ruin everything,” but he did provide a bizarre explanation which infers that women have “ruined everything” all the way back to Eve. You know, of Adam and Eve.

Luckily, school administrators were just as sickened by his comments as the rest of the Internet and have decided to put him on administrative leave until they decide his fate.
