You know how people recommend ginger ale for upset stomachs? That’s because ginger has compounds that help regulate your digestion and balance your stomach acid and bile. It also stimulates saliva production, which will wash away any acid hanging out in your mouth and throat. Get the benefits with ginger candies or by drinking ginger tea before bed or any meal.
Think back to your high school chemistry classes— what’s the opposite of something acidic? Something basic! So if you’re experiencing occasional acid reflux or heartburn, turn to a base like baking soda to counteract it.
