Her 3-Ingredient Homemade Hair Lightener Will Nourish Your Hair As It Lightens
We all know about self-tanning lotions that can keep our skin summer-glowing even on dark winter days, right? (Plus, they’re the safer, healthier way to tan even when it is summer!) But did you know that there’s a way to keep your summer-time hair highlights, too? You don’t even need to go to the hair salon! All you need is this at-home hair lightener from Ela Gale that uses all-natural ingredients and no bleach. Watch to see how to whip it up and keep your hair glowing brighter than autumn leaves.
3 Ingredients
– 1 chamomile tea bag
– 1 tablespoon honey
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
How To
- Infuse the tea bag in a small amount of boiling water (about 2 to 3 tablespoons).
- Add the honey and lemon juice, and mix.
- Apply the mixture to the areas of your hair you want to lighten and leave in for 15 to 30 minutes while sitting in sunshine or other areas of warmth. It’s important to keep your head warm during this stage!
- Wash out according to your normal routine.
Depending on how light you want to go, Ela Gale recommends using this lightener two to three times a week until you reach your desired shade. Luckily, the mixture can last in the fridge for one to two weeks! Have you ever lightened your hair at home before? Did you use a store-bought lightener, or did you make your own? Do you think you’ll give this one a try?
