19 Delicious Snacks That Just Happen To Be Healthy

Let’s talk about snacks, shall we? The holy grail of meals. Call me crazy, but breakfast, lunch, and dinner are great and all, but it’s the snacks that are really the real deal.

The problem is, people associate snacking with being unhealthy. When in reality, there are tons of snacks that taste great and are also good for you. But we’re not talking about the standard carrots and hummus, cheese string, or grapes. These are way more fun and innovative, and will actually fill you up in between meals!

Whether you’re craving savory or sweet, here are our favorite healthy and tasty snacks to make today:

  1. Honey roasted chickpeas

Chickpeas are high in fiber and protein, which can help keep you fuller longer. These crispy bad boys taste amazing, and with just four simple ingredients, you can pull this recipe together in a pinch.

  2. Bacon jalapeno deviled eggs

If you like spice, smoke, and eggs, then you’ll love this deviled egg recipe, chock full of flavor. Just one or two of these will be enough to tide you over until dinner.

  3. Agave kettle corn

We’re a sucker for a sweet and salty popcorn—and this recipe takes out all the sugar and butter that normal kettle corn might have.

  4. Sweet potato toast

There are so many ways to make sweet potatoes, but one of our favorites is toasting up a slice and using it as you would bread. It’s super versatile when it comes to toppings—slather some peanut butter and fruit on there for a sweet craving or an avocado with egg for a more savory snack.

  5. Sweet potato chips

Did we mention you could do a lot with sweet potatoes? This recipe is way healthier than your normal Doritos or Fritos.

  6. Fudgesicles

It might have fudge in the name, but these are still healthy—and made with only two ingredients! They’re vegan too, if you’re into that. How is that even possible?

  7. Cucumber sushi

How cute can one snack be? These aren’t as complicated as they sound—and you don’t have to be a sushi lover to make this snack (there’s no raw fish in it).

  8. Sour patch grapes

These are way healthier than those sugary suckers you get at the movies—and super easy to make. They’re a perfect sweet and sour snack for when you need something to zing you awake during that 2 p.m. slump.

  9. Parmesan zucchini crisps

Zucchini can be a pretty boring vegetable, but not when you crisp them up with parmesan and make them into a chip!

  10. Cauliflower biscuit bites

These are basically cheesy bread, but much healthier. We promise, you barely even taste the cauliflower.

  11. Strawberry bruschetta

You can use this sensationally sweet mixture to top some bread or crackers, or just eat it straight out of the bowl. (We don’t judge!)

  12. Kale chips

This superfood chip has just four ingredients, all of which benefit your body in some way. They’re crispy, salty, tangy, and are great for any type of snack—on the go, with dinner, or even right before bed if you need to fill your stomach.

  13. Baked pear chips

Honestly, why do we still eat the unhealthy version of chips when there are so many healthy ways to make ’em? This chip variety is made from pears, so it has a sweet twist to a salty snack.

  14. Cucumber rolls

Cucumbers, hummus, olives, feta—not only do these taste delicious, but they’re super cute to bring to parties if you’re in need of a quick app.

  15. Apple pie energy bites

Why yes, you can make apple pie healthy. When you add ingredients like oats, flaxseed, hazelnuts, and walnuts, you know you’re in for a treat—one high in fiber and protein, that is!

  16. Frozen yogurt fruit bites

Somehow yogurt and fruit tastes like ice cream—but are the perfect midday snack, especially on a warm day. These also perfect for kids!

  17. PB Banana Bars

Somehow you can make delicious peanut butter bars out of three (yes, just three) wholesome ingredients—and they’re insanely delicious.

  18. Fruit dip

A sauce to dip fruit in? You bet! Pair this creamy goodness with your favorites, like strawberries, mango, and bananas.

  19. Pita chips

When you eat pita chips out of a bag, they could be filled with all sorts of chemical-y gunk. With this one, you know just what’s in them—and if you eat them warm, they’re even more delicious! Pair them with a savory hummus or olive tapenade (or nothing; they’re still amazing).
