Ideally, marriage is forever, but unfortunately, that is not always the case. We probably all know someone who has been divorced. We definitely have all heard of celebrity couples who have been divorced. Many celebrities have been married multiple times.

What’s not as unusual as you might realize is that some celebrity couples have gotten divorced only to eventually remarry each other in the future. Although this trend isn’t exactly common, there are quite a few celebrity couples who have done this.

Sometimes we might think of divorce as the end of a marriage, and it is. But, if the divorced couple later realizes that the marriage was worth fighting for after all, nothing is to stop them from getting married to each other again.

1. Ben Stein and Alexandra Denman

   Ben Stein married Alexandra Denman in 1968. They were married for 6 years before getting divorced. The couple remarried in 1977.

2. Estée Lauder and Joseph Lauder

   Estée Lauder got married to Joseph Lauder long before she was ever a household name. The couple got married in 1930 and divorced in 1939; however, they weren’t apart for long. In 1942, they remarried and stayed married until Joseph Lauder died in 1983.

3. Jean-Claude Van Damme and Gladys Portugues

   Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme and bodybuilder Gladys Portugues got married in 1987, but their marriage ended in divorce in 1992. The couple remarried in 1999 and has remained married ever since.

4. Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus

   Snoop Dogg and Shante Taylor Broadus got married in 1997. They were high school sweethearts. In 2004, Snoop Dogg filed for divorce, but the couple never actually ended up finalizing their divorce. When their daughter was diagnosed with Lupus, it ended up bringing them closer together. They renewed their vows in 2008.

5. Marie Osmond and Steve Craig

   Marie Osmond and Steve Craig originally got married in 1982, but they were only married until 1985. Then, in 2011, just months before their son got married, the couple remarried.

6. NeNe Leakes and Gregg Leakes

   Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes married Gregg Leakes in 1997. The couple got divorced in 2011, 3 years after she became a reality TV star. However, the couple reconciled and remarried in 2013. They remained married until Gregg Leakes lost his battle with cancer and passed away on September 1, 2021.

7. Richard Pryor and Jennifer Lee

   Richard Pryor and Jennifer Lee got married in 1981. Their marriage only lasted one year. The couple ended up remarrying in 2001 and stayed married until 2005 when Richard Pryor died.

8. Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera

   Artist Frida Kahlo married Diego Rivera in 1929. Despite frequent fights, the couple stayed married for 10 years, divorcing in 1939. They weren’t divorced for long. The couple remarried in 1940 and stayed married until Frida Kahlo died in 1954.

9. Judge Judy Sheindlin and Jerry Sheindlin

   Judge Judy Sheindlin married Jerry Sheindlin in 1976. They got divorced in 1990, but they ended up getting remarried just one year later. They are still married.

10. Gloria DeHaven and Richard Fincher

    Gloria DeHaven was married a total of 4 times. Her 3rd husband, Richard Fincher, also ended up being her 4th husband. The actress married Fincher in 1957. They got divorced in 1963 only to remarry each other in 1966. The marriage didn’t last, and they divorced again in 1969.

    Rapper Eminem was already in a relationship with Kimberly Scott when he became famous. The couple got married in 1999, but the married ended in divorce in 2001. They ended up getting married again in 2006, but they never actually signed the marriage license. This time, their relationship only lasted one month.

    Barbara Walters married Merv Adelson in 1981, but they ended up getting divorced in 1984. In 1986, the couple remarried, but this marriage didn’t last long either. They were divorced a second time in 1992.

    Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson got married in Las Vegas in 1976. They were only married for 6 months. In 1989, the couple remarried, but this marriage ended in divorce as well. They divorced a second time in 1996.

    Elon Musk married Talulah Riley in 2010. The couple got divorced after 2 years of marriage, but just one year after the divorce, they got married to each other again. However, this marriage didn’t last long either. They got divorced a second time in 2016

    Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner got married in 1957, but their marriage only lasted until 1962. Ten years later, they reunited, and in 1972 they married each other a second time. Their marriage lasted until Natalie Wood’s death in 1981.

    Dionne Warwick married William Elliott in 1966. They were only married for a year before they separated. The couple remarried in 1967, but they parted ways again in 1975.

18. Terrence Howard and Lori McCommas

    Terrence Howard and Lori McCommas got married in 1989, and their marriage lasted until 2003. The couple remarried each other in 2005, but this marriage ended in divorce in 2007.

19. Andrew Jackson and Rachel Donelson Robards

    Former President Andrew Jackson married Rachel Donelson Robards in 1791. Unfortunately, Robards was still legally married to her first husband at the time. She thought her 1st married was dissolved, but she was wrong. That caused her marriage to Jackson to be dissolved. Once her first marriage officially ended in divorce, she remarried Jackson in 1794. The couple remained married until Rachel died in 1828.
