You’ve heard of the man cave – but what about the she-shed? The man cave is traditionally a place in the home where a husband can go do…manly things (I like to imagine deer heads on the walls and unnecessarily large flat screen TVs on which football can be watched and video games can be played). But the she-shed is something a little different. The she-shed is (as the name would imply) a shed, set a little ways away from your home that acts as your private oasis. It can be decorated in any way you’d like and designed for any hobby or interest you have! Check out the video below to learn a little bit more about these trendy she-sheds.

This growing phenomenon of she-sheds is amazing – just the idea of having your own space to get away from your friends, family and the hassles of life is a luxurious notion.

With this particular she-shed, I love that she uses this as her own personal yoga studio. Every morning, she comes to the shed, lights a candle, and takes that time to reflect on life. That is not something every mother (or any person in today’s busy world!) can say they have the place to do!
