You Have to See What Dad Does When Baby Misses Mom

Ask any new parent and they’ll tell you that leaving your newborn baby isn’t easy. Sure, it might be a moment of privacy that you so desperately need, but that doesn’t make it any easier for you or the baby. No one knows that better than this dad.

When his wife, the mother of his 3-month-old son, stepped out to check some things off her to-do list for the day, the baby did not take it well. The infant kept screaming and crying, obviously missing his mom and hoping she would come back to comfort him. But when she didn’t return, it only made his frantic crying worse.

Eventually, dad realized there was nothing he would be able to do to ease the crying; the baby wanted his mama and there was nothing he could do about it. Unless he could make the baby THINK his mom was there.

When you see the plan he finally came up with, you won’t be able to stop yourself from grinning! Luckily, Dad decided to record the whole ordeal, knowing that his son will have a drastic reaction to what comes next.

The video begins with the little cutie throwing a fit in his adorable dinosaur onesie. He’s flailing and screaming, and behind the camera you can almost picture his dad wondering what he’s going to do. But then, a few seconds later, something suddenly comes into the camera frame. It takes us a moment to understand what we’re seeing before we realize it’s a woman’s shirt — most likely, the baby’s mom’s shirt!

His son starts sniffing at the fabric, and instantly, the loud cries soften into gentle mumbles. Slowly, we see his expression start to soften from screams to the cutest smile we’ve ever seen. The baby starts to wrap his little arms and legs around the shirt, hugging the fabric close to himself, and looking up at the camera with nothing less than a blissful expression.

We wouldn’t be surprised if the baby fell asleep moments after this! Not only did the baby calm down from his tantrum, but he looked ready to nod right off, something his desperate dad was probably trying to encourage for hours.
