Nothing ruins a summer BBQ or picnic like an invasion of mosquitos. For an all-natural way to get mosquitos off the guest list at your next outdoor gathering try this simple Mosquito Repellant Mason Jar. The active ingredient is Lemon Eucalyptus Oil which is recommended by the CDC as an effective all-natural bug repellant.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

– 1-2 Lemon Wedges – 1-2 Lime Wedges – A couple sprigs of Rosemary – Water (fill remainder of jar with water) – Active Ingredient: Lemon Eucalyptus oil (7-10 drops) – Floating Tea Candles

You can find Lemon Eucalyptus oil for a few dollars at Amazon and I was able to pick up floating tea candles for about 50 cents a piece at Michael’s craft store.

This is a simple mosquito repellant that I whip up in minutes and place outdoors five minutes before we go to sit outside. The other common approach is to put Citronella in a mason jar and poke a hole in the top and feed a long wick through.
