Use These 7 Tricks to Keep Your Kitchen Spotless

There are few places that get as chronically messy as your kitchen. Whether it’s food splatter, grease, or piles of dirty dishes, your kitchen has a bad habit of getting clean and then immediately getting messy again. If you’re fed up with chasing your kitchen in circles, then try these 7 tips! They’ll help you not just get your kitchen clean, but to help maintain a clean kitchen, too! Watch the video below to see how you can get control of your kitchen.

TIP 1: TOWEL RACK

Towel racks aren’t just for the bathroom. Get a standing-up towel rack to put on the kitchen counter, this way you can keep all your dish towels neat and organized. It also avoids clutter on the counter.

Also, to keep your towel presentation looking new, put one new, never-used dish towel in your rack. This will give a really fresh look to your towels and make them ALL appear new.

TIP 2: KEEP YOUR MICROWAVE SPARKLING

One thing that tends to get stinky and gross fast is your microwave. Try this trick: wet a paper towel with water and essential oils and pop it in the microwave for 3-5 minutes.

When time is up, use the towels to wipe down the microwave. You’ll be left with a lovely smell and the hot water will have loosened the grime, making it easy to wipe every up.

TIP 3: MAKE YOUR COFFEE POT SPARKLE

If you’re a regular coffee drinker, the glass coffee pot will start to get stained and dingy. To make it sparkle like new, fill the coffee pot with crushed ice, salt, and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Swirl it around and rinse it out to get a gorgeously clean coffee pot.

TIP 4: USE WOODEN SKEWERS

To get the crevices of every part of your kitchen clean (even the little cracks), use a wooden skewer. Clean out the grime in your kitchen appliances and use this little trick to get food out of the stove.

TIP 5: INVEST IN A DIFFUSER

The smells of food are great, but not after you’re done cooking. When the kitchen is cleaned after dinner, a great way to get your kitchen smelling lemony fresh again is by using a diffuser. Put a drops of your favorite essential oil in the machine and let it cleanse your air while you put your feet up.

TIP 6: KEEP THE SINK SHINY

After your dishes are done, get your sink looking sparkling clean by sprinkling some baking soda into the sink and giving it a regular wipe down. This will not only disinfect the sink, but it will also make the metal shine like new.

TIP 7: CYCLE OUT YOUR SPONGES

Sponge are great, but they also hold SO much bacteria. In an effort to avoid the spread of bacteria around your kitchen surfaces, cycle your sponges out regularly.
