The real start of summer brings a lot of great bargains our way. Let’s take a look at some of the best (and least expensive) buys of June!

Hardware/Tools

Take advantage of Father’s Day deals, even if you’re not buying for Dad, to get tools and hardware at a great price in June.

Gym Memberships

By June, those New Year’s resolutions are mostly forgotten (or people are working out outdoors), so gyms and workout centers are desperate to get people back inside to exercise. You can probably take advantage of summer specials or haggle your way to a better deal.

For example, my yoga studio is offering a huge summer special right now since participation tends to dip during the warmer months. I was able to sign up for 3 months and save over $150 on the normal price!

Paint

No one wants to paint their home, inside or outside, in the heat of summer. That’s why paint will go on sale during this time. Eveni f you’re not planning to paint right away, summer is the buy time to buy.

Dishes

Early June is the peak of wedding season, so you’ll see sales on registry must-haves like dishware. So if you find a great pattern you love, June is the time to snatch up those dishes on the cheap (20-50% off).

Lingerie and Undergarments

Victoria’s Secret has their huge semi-annual sale in June, and many other similar retailers will hop on the bandwagon to stay competitive during this time. So it’s a great time to stock up on undergarments that are typically discounted by more than 50%.

Butter

Production of butter is usually best in June and July, so prices tend to be lower. And since butter freezes well for six months or so, you can stock up now for holiday baking!
