One of the things that we love the most about the Internet is the fact that it supplies us with a seemingly never-ending bank of information, music, art, videos, and, our favorites–pictures. There’s just something so magical about getting to scroll through a stranger’s Instagram. Sure, it can feel a little voyeuristic, but we find it to be an all-around intriguing experience– especially when we come across details in the photos that don’t seem quite right.

Take the above photo, for example. It may look like a nice family portrait, but there is something hidden within it that makes the situation seem suddenly sinister. Can you spot it?

If so, great job. And, if not, don’t worry– we’ll give you the answer below. BUT, not before showing you many more photos that have something “wrong” with them. We scoured the Internet to find 15 of the most shocking and, lucky for you, we’ve added them below (with hints to help you solve each visual puzzle, too!). 1. The poorly-designed abode

   Hint: This charming country home is missing one very vital feature. We really hope that whoever designed this house got fired. Worst. Architect. Ever.

2. The wedding shoot photo bomber

   Hint: This one isn’t about the photobomb, per se— that would be too easy!— the question to answer is who the photobomber is. The only clue we’re going to give you is this: he is an actor.

3. The case of the missing legs

   Hint: No, the third woman from the left does, in fact, have her legs— but they’re not exactly easy to spot in this photo. We think we’ve given you a sufficient set-up for this one. Now it’s time to solve it!

4. The ghostly appendage

   Hint: This photo was taken in the year 1900 in Belfast and contains 15 cross-armed women and 31 hands. Confused yet? You should be…

5. The confounding pedestrian walkway

   Hint: The city planner who approved this pedestrian walkway may want to get their eyes checked— unless they want their most law-abiding residents to get nowhere.

6. The wedding crasher

   Hint: This wedding day photo captured a whole lot of happiness, but it also caught another thing standing between the bride and groom. Well, maybe “thing” isn’t the right word. It may be a person. We think. All we know is that, whatever it is, it is really creepy!

7. The feral baby

   Hint: This may look like a cute picture of an adorable baby, but if you look a little closer, you will quickly notice a furry photo bomber. Or, maybe, the babe is just part-animal…

8. The long way down

   Hint: There might be a bright-blue stripe of ADA-approved paint on the right-side of the stairs, but the “ramp,” or the railing for that matter, isn’t going to help anyone.

9. The bad bird

   Hint: A person doesn’t need a degree in English to work at a grocery store, but they should know the difference between chickens and humans. Someone get Whole Foods a copywriter stat!

10. The faulty bike lane

    Hint: Bike lanes are meant to keep bikers, pedestrians, and motorists safe, but this one’s abrupt end could hurt all three!

11. The bathing babes

    Hint: These bath time friends sure seem to be enjoying their time together— but we suspect their joy dissipated once they spotted what was behind them…

12. The lovely shot interrupted

    Hint: These college students look relatively happy, healthy, and sober, but the same can’t be said for their friend.

13. The couch surfer

    Hint: Look towards the bottom of the picture for a set of panicked eyes. Once you spot this inconsistency, you may start to wonder what’s wrong with this nice-looking family!

14. The selfie queen

    Hint: This gal makes bathroom selfies look good. Her pet, not so much…

15. The beauty school “mannequin”

    Hint: These heads may look realistic at first glance, but once you take a closer look, you’ll notice that one appears much more “alive” than the others.
