One of the only reasons we have cable is to watch Hallmark Christmas movies. The Countdown to Christmas that takes place on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is something we look forward to all year.

This year, Hallmark is releasing 40 new movies starring many familiar faces like Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron Bure and Holly Robinson Peete. While the storylines may seem similar to other Hallmark movies at times, we love the predictability and knowing that there will be a happy ending.

Fortunately, you don’t have to have a cable subscription to watch Hallmark movies. If you want to watch movies from previous years, you can find some of them on Amazon Prime and through Hallmark’s subscription app called Hallmark Movies Now. On HMN, you will find Christmas movies as well as other older films and television shows. There is a 7-day free trial. After that, it is $5.99 a month, or you can get an annual subscription for $59.99.

If you (like us) want to make sure you see all of the new Hallmark Christmas movies, you will need to sign up another streaming service, and you have several options that vary by price and features.

If you are really just concerned with watching Hallmark movies and don’t care about other channels, Frndly TV is the least expensive option. For $5.99 a month you’ll have access to all three Hallmark channels as well as other family-friendly channels like The Game Show Network and Up TV. There is a free 7-day trial.

If you would like access to a wider variety of popular TV programming, you might want to try a different subscription option, such as Philo TV which offers 60 channels, including all three Hallmark channels, for $20 a month. There is also Sling which costs $35 a month. It includes access to Hallmark Channel, but you would not be able to watch the new movies being released on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

The most expensive option also includes the most channels. For $64.99 a month, you can subscribe to Fubo TV and have access to almost 120 channels including all three Hallmark Channels.

Are you a cable subscriber? Are you going to try one of these streaming services to watching Hallmark Christmas movies?
