Ready the tear-jerking story of the day? Paul Walker’s daughter, Meadow Walker, got married this weekend, and Fast and Furious icon Vin Diesel walked her down the aisle in honor of her late father.
Vin and Paul, who died in 2013, were very close after working together on the set of the movie series. He also happens to be Meadow’s godfather. So for fans, as well as family and friends who gathered there that day, it was a heartfelt, bittersweet moment.
At the wedding, Vin donned a light blue suit and sunglasses, looking so proud to be able to be there for Meadow on her special day. The 22-year-old bride wore a custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown for her ceremony, which was held in the Dominican Republic.
In 2020, Vin had stated that the upcoming 10th installment of the film, will fulfill a promise he made to Paul. “He was always tickled by the fact that we were continuing,” he said. “He was always so excited and so proud that his brother was thinking of these films before the studio, before anyone knew that there was another one coming and another one coming and that the stories had been worked out for him. He took great pride in that.”
Meadow married a man named Louis Thornton-Allan. Unfortunately, his family wasn’t able to be there. “Louis’s family wasn’t able to attend,” Meadow said. “A lot of close friends who we consider family were also unable to attend due to travel restrictions.” The two held a second celebration in New York City so other friends and family could attend.
However, actress Jordana Brewster, Walker’s love interest in the Fast and Furious films, was also present at the Dominican wedding, as well as Diesel’s three children, who he shares with longtime partner of his, Paloma Jimenéz.

“Vin walking you made me legit tear up and I’m a damn guy,” one person wrote.
“Vin walking you down was so heartwarming. Paul is shining down,” another said.
“Vin Diesel is so sweet for doing that,” someone else commented.
We’re sure her father would’ve been so proud, and so happy that his buddy could be there for his little girl. Ugh, now we’re crying!
