It’s a well-known fact that Simon Cowell’s personality has earned him fans and haters. On the fan front, it’s also not a secret that women of a certain age bracket LOVE him. Really LOVE him.

He’s a magnet for flirtatious innuendo that might make a mom blush, but not necessarily make a grandmama blush. Ecstatic to see Simon when they roll up onto a stage to perform in front of him, these mature ladies are both giddy and forward. Edna was no exception.

She was taken out of a suitcase by her handler, Darci Lynne, for her debut on America’s Got Talent. Suitcase? Yes! Edna is a ventriloquist’s dummy but hardly behaves like one, and Darci is the magic hand (and voice) that maneuvers her.

Darci Lynne Farmer is a 12-year-old ventriloquist from Oklahoma who’s had a successful run on the show with her line of puppets. In this video, she’s just finished a performance for the semifinal rounds of AGT with Edna. This was Edna’s first time on stage and this lady made the most of it with Simon in her sights.

Edna has a huge crush on Simon. When Darci asked about the age gap between her and the judge, Edna’s response was, “Don’t worry, Simon knows mouth-to-mouth.” Thanks for the visual, Edna! The duo’s routine didn’t consist solely of jokes and back-and-forth. Edna showed off her singing chops for the judges with a song dedicated to Simon.

She didn’t hold anything back when singing Aretha Franklin’s Natural Woman to the gruff but blushing judge. In the middle of her heartfelt serenade, she asked Darci to walk her off the stage, up to the judges’ table, and onto Simon’s shoulder. He was red!

Edna was confident her act paid off and that they’ll swing the competition thanks to her softening up the show’s toughest nut.

Darci Lynne’s talents as a singing ventriloquist began at age 10 when her parents gifted her with her first puppet. She became interested after seeing an act at church and studied alongside a local teen ventriloquist. During her audition for America’s Got Talent, she spoke about how working with puppets has helped her to overcome shyness.

Her abilities have now carried her to the final that airs on Tuesday, September 12th. Her band of puppet friends that include the bunny Petunia and dapper mouse Oscar have been the perfect partners, but it’s dear Edna that locked things down by putting a spell on Simon. You can always count on a grandmom to bring things home for the win!

Watch below to hear Darci’s thoughts about a potential win. We’re rooting for the tween and can’t wait to see what else she can do!
