Saving on Your Electricity Bill

Last month my electric bill was 56.00. (I live in Tennessee)… How can a light bill be that low? Everyone at work has bills from 150.00 up to 350.00, while mine is a fraction of theirs.

I am very concious of what is Plugged in… Yes if its plugged in its drawing power…the toaster on counter. coffee pot, lamps that never get used, blenders, blowdryer. Anything plugged in “Is Drawing Electricity.” Look for things that are plugged into outlets that you are not using “Right Now.” Unplug those items, they are Still there for when you want to use them, but the other 23 hours you don’t use them they will get unplugged.

CFL bulbs.. buy them as replacments for your regular bulbs..these can save you a lot. As your bulbs blow out start replacing them with CFL bulbs. Did you know that every bulb (in a fixture)that is not working can still draw from your electric? If a bulb goes out remove it (so nothing is being drawn from that outlet). No bulb is better than a blown bulb.

Computers… desktops use more electricity than laptops. If you have both @ your house Use the laptop.
I still plug up (my laptop)when using and unplug when not using. If you have Kids with a desktop consider investing in a laptop.

Don’t forget to cut off the lights in the rooms you are not in or not using right now.

REMEMBER IF ITS PLUGGED IN ITS COSTING YOU LOTS OF MONEY…

For Me I work too hard for my money to Give it to the Light company. If you will comitt to 30 days of unplugging & cutting off.. your bill WILL drastically drop (you must stay on top of it for 30 days)… then the Slippery slope kicks in… if I saved this much half way working on this… what would it be if I really worked on it….Its a slippery slope the more you save the more you will want to save…

I Hope this helps someone. I know it has helped me Greatly…God Bless & Happy Saving.
